I'm looking for some information regarding buying an IPOD, MP3, etc.
First a little background, my husband and myself are music fanatics. I am a DJ using an HP laptop of which my 18,000 plus songs are stored in Windows Format (I downloaded all my CDs onto the laptop).
For Christmas, I want to buy my husband a portable audio player in which I can download all my songs from the laptop to, and that he can not only listen to it anywhere, but most importantly he can play it in his truck using his existing stereo set up (CD/AM/FM). What music system out there offers all of what I want, and can have good sound in his truck?
Thank you in advance for your replies.

You're going to need either a Zune or an iPod, because you'll need around 60GB to store all his music.
As for listening to it in the car, it's not going to sound good. You'll need a new stereo.

Hi,
You can use any device that has the 60+gb, with an fm transmitter to play music in the car. The quality should be like listenning to any local radio station, usually better because there should be less interference in the car.
Upgrading the stereo to one that has a 3.5mm input, (almost all new stereos have them now) will make it possiblle to paly the music directly from the headphone jack on any player. This will give you better sound quality.
Good luck.
