Most of them are Mac compatible.  Apple, Cowon, Archos, Sony, Samsung, SanDisk, etc.  I've an iPod Nano but I also like Sony's S-series players overall.  You will get the best sound from a Cowon by far.  Samsung makes a nice unit but the interface is cluttered.  Archos are cheap.  It all depends on your specific needs.

BB doesn't sell Cowon, so I don't know about them. Archos are because they're MSC, but most of their units are high-end. Not sure where you got cheap from. In the system requirements for the Sony and Samsung players, both say Windows, and do not mention Mac.

Cowon is the brand of choice for audiphiles.  They are not made as well as some other units, but their sound quality is second to none.

The Archos MP3 players are comparatively cheap.  The Archos 3 Vision is considerably cheaper at $78 than the equivalent models from Cowon and Samsung, both of which cost nearly twice that.  The Archos 2 is $48 which is less than equivalent models from Apple, Samsung, Cowon, Sony, etc.  The Archos 5/7/9 are tablets, not MP3 players and considering the huge storage capacities, are still priced better than the competition.

Sony and Samsung players are supported on Mac by a few different 3rd party free applications.  I don't use iTunes for my iPod Nano either btw. :smileytongue:
