Ipod data recovery

Was curious to what the best data recovery software would be for ipod nano.  Need to retrieve lost videos. Can a  free software download be used ?

Does anywhere do this so I don't have to?

As in, you deleted them? Videos can't just be pulled directly off the device, so you're looking at BB's data recovery which starts at $250.

Re: Ipod data recovery

Idrug videos from the dcim folder on the ipod to my library. ive done this for all videos prior. They showed in windows media and played fine, after disconnecting the ipod the videos show in the library on the cpu but wont play. the ipod had then erased all videos, music, everything and would not sync.  I pod support walked me thru and said i would need to find 3rd party recovery software which(some) is free.  All free software says it will recover all files but a full version is required to save recovered files. I was wondering was a full version neccessary for what would be a one time use or was there another route. and ipod data recovery only costs 70$

Re: Ipod data recovery

I am still alittle confused as to what happened but if you are wanting to move music or video files from the iPod back to the computer you can use a program called iFunBox. Its free and works great for when i need to add a single song or video to my iphone or iPod or transfer songs/videos back to my PC. Try to find a older version of the program though I think the newest version has issues with iPod Nanos. I will post when i return home with the version number i have but i know for a fact it works with the Nanos up to the ones before these new ones with the cameras. The newer ones with cameras i dont if they are supported even in the latest version.
