I recentely got an Gift Card from best Buy after sending my Ipod in for an replacment. But I decided to buy an Ipod from some where else.
So now can I some how cash in the gift card or buy some thing and return it, or something else. Because I realy don't need anything from Best Buy and I don't want to give it to someone.

The local store management would have to approve cashing out a gift card. Do you know anyone that is going to something from Best Buy that you can sell it to?

Hello Mcmarkieman,
Unfortunately, the gift card you received for the replacement of your iPod is not redeemable for cash. On the positive side, the gift card does not expire and will retain its full value until you make a purchase with it!

So until I use it it will never expire. Can just wondering why can't I cash in the gift card, like why is that Bes buy olicy not to be able to cash gift card, because like right i would perfer to have that money in the bank. And you sure the store manager can pull any strings?

The official answer (based on what I've read) is that you had a PSP/PRP which is what authorized the exchange to occur. The terms & conditions of the plans state that a store credit be issued for a comparable item (of comparable features, not original purchase price). We issue it to a store credit because that's just procedure and in case you need time to decide if you want to acquire the comparable item we designate right away or if you'd like to upgrade the item and just pay the difference.
