HELLO EVERYONE........ WHEN A PROTECTION PLAN IS PURCHASED.... WHAT EXACTLY DOES IS SAY ON THE RECEIPT?? I BOUGH MY IPOD IN NOVEMBER 2008, THE SALES GUY TOLD ME IT WAS ALSO FOR ACCIDENTAL. I PAY 69.99 FOR 3YRS, NOW MY IPOD IS NOT WORKING AND THEY WONT EXCHANGE IT....... I HAD DROPPED IT LIKE 8 MTHS AGO, AND IT SORT OF CRACKED, BUT IT HAD BEEN WORKING FINE.  HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT, UNTIL TODAY... ITS FROZEN OR SOMETHING.... NOW I GO TO STORE AND THEY TELL ME IT DOESNT COVER PHYSICAL DAMAGE!!!!!!! SO ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER???? IM MAD!!! I PAID 70 BUCKS FOR 3YRS THINKING IT WAS FOR PHYSICAL... I LOOK AT IPODS NOW AND THEY HAVE 2YR ACCIDENTAL FOR ONLY 40.99 MAKES NO SENCE!!!! HELP!!!!!

FYI, typing in all caps is the internet equivalent of yelling, and is considered rude. Please refrain from it.

ADH for mp3 players began being offered in mid-2009. At the time of purchase, there was no ADH coverage for iPods, so as the store said, physical damage would not be covered.

You mention that the unit is frozen. It's very easy to reset it. If it's a touch, hold down the power and home button for ten seconds. For any other iPod, hold down the middle and top button for ten seconds.

I APOLOGIZE.. MY KEYBOARDS CAPLOCKS IS STUCK. LOL.  THIS IS NOT COOL................... I WAS LIED TOO BY THIS GUY AT THE STORE. WELL IN REFERENCE TO MY IPOD WHEN IT TURNS ON THE SCREEN IS BLACK WITH THE SILVER APPLE, BUT NOTHING ELSE WILL HAPPEN.  I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO PLUG IN IPOD IN DIFFERENT COMPUTERS AND NO RESULT.  THE SCREEN STAYS ON WITH THE APPLE, THEN IT TURNS OFF, AND THE BATTERY PICTURE SHOWS UP WITH A PICTURE OF LIKE A LIGHTNING BOLT, THEN I TRY TO RESET AGAIN, AND THE BLACK SCREEN WITH THE APPLE APPEARS AGAIN.  MY MACBOOK WONT EVEN RECOGNIZE ANY USB PLUG INS.  WHAT TO DO???

If your caps lock is stuck on, how did you register with a username in lower-case letters?

If you are getting a picture of a battery, that means it just needs to be charged. If you're not able to charge it through your computer, try using a wall charger.
