Happy Eid Al-Adha?

I imagine that since you are celebrating a muslim holiday that commemorates human sacrifice to please Allah, that you will eventually print Merry Christmas on a weekly ad?  Eid Al-Adha correlates to Nov 27-30, and I am okay wish wishing others a Happy Whatever during their respective holiday seasons.  But if you cover one - you need to cover them all this Holiday Season - including Christmas.

I am thinking that if there is no Merry Christmas from Best Buy in an ad before Dec 25, that Best Buy will be losing my business.

Regards,

Conservative.

Re: Happy Eid Al-Adha?

Totally agree with "Conservative"!   I'd love to see "Merry Christmas" in your ads this year.  I have lots on my CHRISTMAS list... hopefully your store will begin to value the Christian customer as well.  If not, going elsewhere.

Re: Happy Eid Al-Adha?

I am in agreement with this post. In the past, Best Buy would not use the word Christmas, but will post in their ad, "Happy Eid Al-Adha." This past year, I have spent about $3,000 with your store. I will be shopping somewhere else.

Re: Happy Eid Al-Adha?

I agree!

BB has the muslims covered with the "happy eid"  but what about the rest of us Americans?

Do we get a "Happy Thanksgiving"?

No, you could only be bothered to remind us to "Shop Thanksgiving Day" at your stupid website.

Can't wait to see how that works out for you

Happy Eid Al-Adha but no Merry Christmas? I assume your next advertisements will say Merry Christmas. Otherwise, I will no longer shop at Best Buy. I will shop at those businesses which support Christmas.

Re: Happy Eid Al-Adha?

Agreed.  I will be anxiously awaiting a Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukah or even Happy Kwanza in my weekly ads.  If, as you stated before, Merry Christmas is disrespectful, then please explain the disrespect you just placed on the front place of your weekly ad in a bright blue circle! Since everyone is so concerned with being politically correct, why don't you start right now and treat all holidays the same way. My big ticket item bill will be paid off soon and that will be my last one unless I see an appropriate, FAIR, response from your company.

Re: Happy Eid Al-Adha?

I worked part time at Best Buy two years ago and am shocked by this! The sad thing is that I think it will cost Best Buy a lot of business, and some MAJOR bad publicity which will hurt the employees who had nothing to do with the decision. What in the heck were you thinking Best Buy?????

Re: Happy Eid Al-Adha?

Over 7 million Muslims in this country and you're making a big deal out of "Happy Eid" words? How are suppose to get along? I wasn't planning on this, but I'm going to Best Buy and buy stuff just because they're not raciest.
