Before you fill out the upgrade form on Dell's website you will need to register your computer will dell so their system shows that you are the owner of the computer.

There are 2 ways to register the computer into your name;

When completing the Registration (Transfer of Ownership) you will be asked for your contact information as well as your Service Tag. The service tag can be found on a white-bar coded label attached to the computer (5-7 digit alphanumeric code).

After you have the computer transferred into your name you can then visit https://win7.dell.com/ and complete the upgrade form.
