Welcome to the Best Buy Support Online Forum Community! I’m sorry to hear that your U-Verse remote is not controlling your TV anymore. I’d be happy to offer you a few troubleshooting steps you might be able to take.
-Replace the remotes batteries
-Reprogram the remote to the TV
If those steps do not remedy the issue you may need to discuss this issue U-Verse directly to see if you need get a replacement remote.
