Location of local control buttons on Insignia 32D220NA18 32"

Where are the local control buttons on the Insignia 32D220NA18 32" TV? I bought one of these sets a couple of months ago and like it (I am sold on Insignia, as I also have a 19" Insignia HDTV that still works great after seven years; the reason I bought a larger one was so that I could have a better view of my cable TV guide and of the TV picture itself), but I don't like the idea that there does not seem to be any control buttons (other than the input button, which is also the power switch) located on the television itself. Are the local control buttons located in some out of the way spot on the TV, or does the set have any buttons (again, other than the input/power switch) at all? This could cause real problems if anything should happen to the remote; that is, there would be no way to change channels, control sound volume, etc. from the TV itself. Was this model intentionally designed without local controls, or is the lack of such controls a design flaw?

Greetings jeff6794,

Thanks for joining our community to ask a question about your new 32”TV. Noticing that there may not be any buttons on your TV can be a tad confusing. I’d be happy to you answer your question.

Model NS-32D220NA18 does not have any controls other than the input/power button. It was designed with this intention, and the objective of streamlining the all of the units in current production. If you should lose your remote the unit does work well with other universal remotes. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Respectfully,
