iPad exchange?

I bought an iPad on 2/13/11. Now that there is a newer version of it - could I exchange the one I bought for the newer model?

PS - I did by the Best Buy warranty, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Re: iPad exchange?

Your past the 14 days allowed to return it, unless you are a silver premiere you wouldn't be able to exchange it.

Re: iPad exchange?

Go in and ask if you can return it.  You are a few days over the 14 day return period and they may make an exception.  The worse they can do is say no so it doesn't hurt to ask.

Re: iPad exchange?

I'm still not seeing much of a difference between the iPad and iPad 2 - no improved res, etc. So, depending on what you use it for, you may wish to research and make a determination.

Re: iPad exchange?

I think the dual core processor while not making it faster will improve the multi-tasking. But other than that I agree with Red theres no big difference.

Re: iPad exchange?

So the double ram, front and rear cams, and optional hdmi output at 1080, and of course color option (lol) aren't important?

The new one is the same price, so that's irrelevant.

Re: iPad exchange?

Since the original cannot play 720p or 1080p video, I think that capability alone in the new one is worth it. I have a first gen ipad, but my ZuneHD plays 720p and 1080p video...c'mon Apple, wake up!

Re: iPad exchange?

The IPad2 will play back 720P or 1080P via HDMI adapter. It will play back on screen as well. However, the screen resolution is not quite 720P and is not 16:9.

iPad2 will have front and back cameras, record 720P video, has dual core processor and a graphics processor that has specs of up to 9x as fast as 1st gen iPad. It also has an accelerometer, and with new iOS will be able to push out Airplay video/audio from apps that support it. Not just YouTube and such that is in current iOS 4.2. You will also be able to mirror your screen via HDMI and stream video/audio back to the iPad2 (kinda like 2-way Airplay)

Wish the cameras were better though. 720P video will be nice, but why couldn't they put the iPhone 4 camera in the thing... a ~1mpix camera is way outdated. Still wish it had wireless sync too.. I despise iTunes.

Will be rolling down my 1st gen to son and picking up the v.2 Hope its available at Best Buy on March 11 too. I don't want to deal with Apple store lines and I have a $100 gift card burning a hole in my pocket! LOL
