My Best buy is in Pa. ,I was given this info by phone, may be tomorrow I will make a trip to the store and talk to a real person, you know how those machines lie, but the machine did tell me they would take pres orders starting Wed.

Probably not on release day. On the new iPad's page on the Best Buy website, it says "In stores March 16." Nothing about online.

I called today 2 best buy stores in Orlando, Fl at 10:40am and they told me that they will start selling the new ipad in the morning when the store opens. They have not receive the shipment yet so they told me to call on thursday to make sure if they have it.

I went to my Best Buy today and was told by a clerk that  at opening tomorrow they will be doing the $50 B.B. card thing.  It will all depend on how many they get and what number you are.

I just called my local Best Buy and they told me that they will not be offering a pre-order of any kind for the iPad 3. But they will be selling them at the opening of Friday morning.

Called today they told me they thought they would be doing pre orders but they are not going to do that anymore rather they will be handing out tickets 2 hours before opening. So 8am. I'm thinking of showing up around 6am to make sure I get one. Not a big city area but in a city where best buy is about the only place that has IPad's. Some small apple stores but that's it and I have a BB gift card like many of you.

My Best Buy called and cancelled the pre-order they were doing (where you buy the $50 gift card) and told me it was Apple who told them they could not do it. The store manager who is a friend of mine also told me they tipped her off as to what they were sending: ONE of each model.

So, it looks like I'm getting up at 4am to try and get my hands on one. It's either that or wait til June.
