This Michigan weather sure is crazy. I want a black 64gb Verizon LTE, but I would take a WiFi if I have too. That's why I want to be first, so I don't have to worry about some other apple fanatic buying the most expensive model.

Ah I usually tether through my iPhone for work when I'm needed (rotating on-call or in the office when it's slow and I want to surf the net on a network with a lot less security restrictions), more often then not I'm on wi-fi.

I would be on wifi at least 95% of the time, but I wouldn't mind being able to use the 4g when I go on trips or when I go to college. I-75 actually has a lot of 4G all the way down to Florida. I also heard the Verizon is supposed to offer family data plans this year, which will save a lot of money. Instead of being forced to pay $30 for 2gb for each of my families 4 iPhones.
Back on topic- Are you going to get any kind of protection (screen protector, case, warranty, etc.) for your iPad?

Case definitely.  Not in a rush though because my mother got me an iPad case as part of my birthday gift that's well padded and I'll be storing it there when not in use.  I have to take the iPad out of it to actually use it so that's why it'll only be a temporary thing.  My mom wasn't sure what size the iPad 3 would be so she went cheap on the case.  I have a fondness for the color purple, and I plan on getting a Speck case, I have one on my Macbook and love it. 

Screen protector, probably not, I'm careful with my electronics, and I've had my iPhone over a year the protective case I put on it has sufficed.

Warranty, I'm up in the air about.  Still thinking about it.

I have settled on getting a white or red BodyGuardz Carbon fiber back, which come with a screen protector. I'll just put the screen protector on and see how I like it. Then I was going to get a Dark Grey Smart Cover to use when I use it around the house. For school and trips, I'm going to get the next version of the iSkin Aura when it's available; it's the best folio I have seen yet for looks and functionality. I'm not sure about a warranty either. I might get AppleCare+, but I don't really see myself breaking it (maybe someone else will.)

I really don't want to make the trip down to Florida, that's like 500 dollars in gas!

That Best Buy is about 20 minutes away from where I'm staying for Spring Break. Maybe Apple will have another device launch then...
