Hi all,

Last November I purchased the Asus TF101 tablet. At checkout, the cashier pushed me to purchase the $80 1-year accidental damage warranty because he said that I could wait for the TF201 (Transformer Prime) tablet to come out and then break my own tablet, and Best Buy would replace it with the TF201. I would just like to ask if Best Buy would actually do this. I realize this is a bit of a workaround of the warranty policy, but I feel as though I'm out of $80 otherwise (since I wouldn't have purchased the warranty had the Best Buy cashier not pushed me to do so for this sole reason).

It is true that you can break it and get a replacement, but the associate choose poorly in his choice of explaining it. Although its a near guarantee to get a instant replacement with an ipad, with a android tablet its probably going to go out to service

I called a couple of Best Buys and they told me that they cannot get any more TF101 tablets and they wouldn't send it out for repair. Can any Best Buy employee confirm if I can get my tablet replaced with a TF201? I can't even buy a different tablet since Best Buy would only reimburse me $250 since I bought it on Black Friday.

Typically with the ADH plans if the same model is in stock you get it replaced with that, since its not then you get a max of the money you spent on the tablet back. So if you paid $250 for your tablet thats what youll get back.
