tvs and fire!!

i have a 42 inch flat screen on my mantle is it gonna hurt if i burn a fire in my firplace?

Measure the temperature in the area you plan on placing the TV. If it's within manufacture guidelines, you're in good shape.

Also, if it is an open fire place, you will want to blow out the back of the t.v. with canned air frequently, like thing every two weeks.
