the truth about warranty info

2 years ago this month, I bought myself an Insignia 19 “ LCD TV with built in DVD player.  The DVD player has broken 2 times since.  I took it in for the third time and was told “Best Buy policy” was that it had to be repaired (by them) three times before I can get a new one or a refund.  Each time they mail it to Denver, it took about 1 month for them to fix it.  Then I had to take time from my busy schedule (again) to go back to the store to pick it up.  In my opinion, if an appliance consistently breaks (3 times) obviously SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH IT.

Luckily for me, the unit is small, but I would hate to have invested in a bigger item that has to be carried in the store then carried home every 6 – 8 months for repairs.

My suggestion is buyer beware.  Read the small print and know that even though you buy the warranty for an appliance, that does not mean they will support you when it breaks down!
