I purchased a 52' LG flat screen, i have it hooked up to my Memorex 5-cd surrond system. When I play the radio, & cd's from the surrond system, i have great volume, however when i turn to the tv the volume is absolutely terrible. I turn it all the way to the max, & it is still poor quality, I have matched all the colors to the cords, and still no difference.. Somebody help me please.

Try disabling the TV speakers.

How do you have the sound system connected to the TV? It should either be running from the audio out of the TV or the audio out of the cable/satellite box to the audio in of the surround system. That's my best guess without knowing how everything is set up

My LG TV had sound issues as well, messed around within the menu options and found auto selection for audio and it worked great after that.  Before as you increased the volume it would become distorted.
