Which one Plasma do you recommend? I really need second opinions

I think I have narrowed it down to the

Samsun PN42B450 (Best price, Amazing picture but IR problems and cracking screens and no Glare filter).

Panasonic P42U1 (Excellent picture, a little out of my price range but doable, but darker screen, noted off greens and reds, no Glare filter)

Panasonic P42S1( Excellent Picture, also a little out of my price range but again doable has a Glare filter, but darker screen, noted off greens and reds).

Panasonic has also had cracking screens as well but more have been noted with Samsung.

Thanks

Well, my Pioneer still serves me well to this day. They're out of the game, but Panasonic would be my choice if I was to stay in the plasma game.

Thanks Bob,

I think I have finalized it between the P42U1 and the P42S1.  The only problem now is I have to use my BBMC to get the warranty and pay the interest on it UGH.   There were just too many IR problems that I read about with the Samsung but the picture is 20x better than it is on the Panasonic.  I don't want to have to worry about IR or Burn in.

I've owned nothing but Panasonic. SOmetimes a little pricey, but they all go on sale. ANd chances are you will plug it in, and it'll work great for years.I have ownd 1 - 42 inch 1080p, and currently 2 - 46inch 1080p plasmas. Never a problem. Highly recommend. Now waiting for the sales price to come down on the 63", that's what I'm currently eyeing. Panasonic Plasmas Sanyo Plasmas are rated 1 and 2 by Consumer Reports. I believe they're correct.

Re: Which one Plasma do you recommend? I really need second opinions

The biggest problem I see with them and have is the darkness of the screen.  That and if I have a problem with Green or Red push there is nothing I can do about it short of having a calibration done which I won't be able to afford.  On my other TV's I have done a DIY calibration and am extremely happy with the picture on my on Insignia 32" and my Samsung 52".  The TV will replace my Insignia 32" since my wife took over the " and I want something bigger and better.  Whats funny is the Insignia is 32" and 720p 60hz and there is no pixelation problems when watching Football or during movies and the picture is pretty  comparable to my Samsung.    I have thought about another Insignia but again the picture is good but not WOW.  The other problem I am having is only the Westbury store has the S1 instock although Levittown will match the price I have they don't have it instock.  I do not want to shop at Westbury I prefer the Levittown and or Commack store so i have to go back in and see how this can be handled. I think Levittown can have it delivered from Westbury since they are only about 3 maybe 4 miles apart and according to the salesperson I spoke to on the same route.

Not happening. One store cannot sell something from another store's inventory. You'll have to buy it from whatever store has it in stock if you want it or order it from your preferred store and wait for them to deliver it or pick it up when it arrives. Those are the rules.

Not accurate, Lex. Best Buy has recently added the ability to sell inventory out of another location.
