We have recently purchased two Dynex TVs. On both of them the time/date setting feature is unavailable--grayed out. Have I mis-set-up both of them? Why can't I set the time?
We have basic cable (analog), no boxes or anything, no exterior speakers or anything else hooked up to the units, just screw the cable into the back of the TV and turn it on, ran the setup wizard at startup.

No, no resolution yet. Thanks for your response! Being that it's both TVs, I wonder if it's the cable company? That was the suggestion from the folks in my local store. Anyway, here are the model numbers: DX-L32-10A and DX-L19-10A, a 32-inch and 19-inch respectively. Thanks--d

Hello again d,
I have a 32" Dynex TV that I purchased a couple of years ago, so I checked my time menu options and it was active, but I don't have cable. I also dug into the owner's manuals just to be sure there wasn't something tricky about setting the time, but it's as straightforward as I expected. If possible and you haven't done so already, I would recommend disconnecting one of the TVs from cable and try setting the time again. If you succeed, you'll have determined that it is, in fact, due to having a cable connection. If you still can't set the time, I'd recommend contacting Dynex Product Support at 1-800-305-2204. They should have troubleshooting tips to help resolve the problem!
If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know!

Thanks, John. I had it on my list to try setting the time with the cable un-connected, just haven't tried it yet. Thanks for the reminder.
Obviously, it's not that big a deal. The sleep timer works on the one in the bedroom, and neither of them are connected to any external devices that require time. Picture's good on both--overall I'm quite satisfied.
