A couple of days ago my Samsung UN40H5203 Smart TV updated automatically and since then my guide always shows "no information". Samsung is absolutely useless! I tried everything they recommended but all that did was reset everything so I had to start over! I use the guide a lot to schedule programs and wondered if anyone else is having a problem since the update? Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks a bunch.

I'm truly sorry to hear your software update for your TV has left you unable to view your guide. It sounds like it might be some sort of communication error between the update and your cable/satellite provider, so if Samsung is unable to correct this in the moment, I'd suggest contacting your cable/satellite company directly to see if a work around is available.

I spent days doing all the suggested fixes with the results being futule and frustrating. Woke up today and it's working again! What a complete waiste of time. I think you were right about just waiting it out. Thanks. Now I'll know for the next time.

Samsung told me they discontinued the guide and the programming features...and others! I bought the TV because of these features and they can just remove anything at any time!! Please, please file complaints, it isn't fair. I'm a senior and I saved for years to buy this TV after researching everything in my price range. This will be my last TV and like I said, I bought it specifically because it had these features.

The same problem Guide went on my UE32 J5600 smart tv soon after purchase. Samsung support who are fairly useless told me it was a software issue awaiting new update. Then in December the Guide was back and now again gone! What goes on What rubbish! Would not reccomend Samsung tv to anyone for this.

I just bought a Samsung UN32J5202 Smart TV, and yep, I have the same problem.
When I press the GUIDE button, all it shows on the screen is "No Information". I haven't done any updates yet (but it does say I have the latest software, and that's straight out of the box).
I am so disappointed. I would have expected Samsung and BestBuy would have resolved this problem by now.

File a consummer affairs complaint online. We all need to complain about Samsung! I won't shop at Best Buy anymore until they solve the problem of Samsumg removing the apps that we bought our TVs with. How can they steal something we paid for!! https://www.consumeraffairs.com/review/ I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my state's Attorney General. Please stand with me so we can get results.

I hear what you saying, but that didn't help at all when the Programming Guide used by several companies (Sony, Toshiba, etc) ceased support of theirs a couple of years ago. That was the EPG called "TV Guide On Screen" (aka TVGOS), and was run by third party company called Rovi. Rovi just quit doing it, and the manufacturers of the TV's, DVR's, etc, that relied on Rovi, did nothing.
