Such BS, After 20 mins on the phone with samsung and talking to two different people I'm told my HLT5687SX/XAA isn't on the list even though there are posts all over the net about the same model. The supervisor I got on the phone even agreed that it probably was the DMD chip and my model did have a slightly higher then expected failure rate. Still they would not repair it. They said their engineers have not reported the chip in my model to be defective.. Just bought a Galaxy tab 7 plus for the wife a few days ago.. Think that sucker is going back after this crap.. Samsung I promise you lost more money by blowing me off then fixing my defective samsung TV...

Agreed, don't give up...here's some ammo. Your model is a little less common (sale number wise) however it uses the exact same DLP chip as the others. Part number is 4719-001997
