The glasses got lighter and more comfortable with bigger and curved lenses. Plus, LG had collaborations with some renowned brands like alain mikli and oakley. Since LG uses passive 3d tv tech, it's the only company which can bring fashion to their glasses. No way you look cool with batteries and cords of active shutter glasses. I found a site that had more pics than others and had the new gucci style shades.

I'm disapointed with lg's color choices. White is ok but orange and yellow??-_- Come on.. It makes the glasses look pretty gay. The metal framed ones look rigid though. Think I'm going to replace the old ones that came with my lg 3d tv to the new ones. Are they on sale now??

Wonder if those glasses work with LG's OLED TV or not cuz I'm thinking about getting one. I have been stuck on this brand new TV ever since I saw it in the LG's press conference video at CES 2012. I think I'll have to keep the TV in my warehouse for a few months though, my wife thinks were going on a vacation this july.

I'm not a 3D guy, but the active shutter TVs seemed so much more impressive to my eyes.

I have no idea. Ima ask the guy who wrote this blog post and get back to you. I totally agree with you about the ridiculous colors but kids might like them. I wanna get them for my daughters and the new clip-ons for myself. The only thing I don't like about the LG 3D TV clip-ons is that they are so small for the lenses of my prescription glasses. So excited about the new glasses. Watching 3D TV can't be any more comfortable with them.

I wonder what aspect of active shutter glasses impressed you the most.. Electromagnetic waves from the batteries attached? Flickering of the lenses? Having to charge them in every two hours? I'm sure you love spending money huh? 100 for a pair of glasses? Lemme guess, you have on a $100k watch and have on $400 socks right now.

LOL...Ummm, no on the socks, although I do enjoy a quality watch.
My impressions are just on the sharpness of the image that passive models just didn't have. I don't watch enough 3D for batteries to be of concern, and $30 for a pair of glasses doesn't seem exorbitant.

I prefer active as well, so I feel the need to voice my opinion to keep this thread fair and balanced, seems like a lot of passive fanboys on the thread lol. As far as flicker, not everybody can even notice it, and my batteries last MUCH longer than 2 hours. I have had mine since Feb. 2011 an have logged 20 hrs on Black Ops and have watched 13 3D movies. Batteries last a pretty good amount of time so far.

I'm the oppsite I hate that everything is active is 30fps and the glasses are heavy and annoying. Not to mention now with passive new sets you get the same 3million pixels I could show you the math but it s long and not for this thread but thats only on this years+ models 2012 and on. LG is the only company i know that has that picture though I am not sure on the other passive makers.
I can notice the flicker and cross talk more than other people I will say though. not watching at 240hz+ is a killer for me though makes games/sports the only reason I have one kind of pointless. I watch 3D movies in the theater and not at home so its all win with passive for me.
