I have been researching HDTVs for some time now.  And I am finally ready to pull the trigger.  I have had numerous good experiences with large purchases at Best Buy (washer, dryer, fridge, etc).  I am set on the Panasonic Plasma; and have debated between 50 and 54, but I just dont want to have any buys remorse so the 54 won out.

Now that I have decided for the life of me I have not been able to order the set.  BestBuy.com shows the item as being available for delivery in most areas, except for mine ofcourse.  I have contacted CustServ via chat and telephone, but no one is able to tell me if the item is out of stock or only out of stock for my area.

I am willing to travel a reasonable distance if necessary to pick up the set.  But if the set is truly out of stock and a restock date is not available it would be good to know.  I think the website should have that information, that way I can move on a purchase the set elsewhere.  Not my preference, but a comparable TV is not what I am looking for although CustServ is very eager to provide that instead.

No need to worry – we still carry this model!  In fact, I’ve received word from our home theater merchant team that most of our warehouses expect to receive additional shipments sometime within the next few weeks.

If you’re interested in placing an order then I would encourage you to keep checking BestBuy.com on a regular basis.  Alternatively, you may wish to speak with a home theater specialist at your local Best Buy® store to see if they are able to assist you in placing an order.

Unfortunately we recently stopped carrying this particular model (Panasonic TC-P54G20).  As such, it has been removed from BestBuy.com and is no longer available for purchase.

What about the new Panasonic TC-p54g25?  When will it be available from Best Buy?  It is already available on the web on several websites.
