I've scoured forums and just can't seem to find anything conclusive - I recently bought a new Panasonic BluRay player to go with a new plasma, and the bluray doesn't impress me in the least bit. Streaming Hulu looks great, Netflix looks alright, and straight coax from the wall shows an extremely clear picture. But, discs don't look very good. I'm wondering what in the world I need to do to set it up to make it look right. Any ideas? I have a short (4 foot) Monster HDMI running from the player to the TV, so it has to be something with the bluray itself. I initially had the wireless on but dropped a cat6 cable this weekend. No noticeable difference in picture from streaming, just the discs.
I appreciate any help!

Specifically, what Bluray movies didn't look good?

If I may offer a pice of related advice, in the future *DO NOT* waste your money on Monster, or any other, expensive HDMI cable. They offer absolutely *NO DIFFERENCE* in performance or picture quality. You cna save the rediculous prices they charge and use that money for other things.

There are dozens of tests that show that there is no difference on consumer level equipment between the high priced and low priced cables. There might have been a slight increase due to the shorter length as you stated, but that difference had nothing to do with the materials or construction of the cable.
Monster, and all the other high priced cables, do have a purpose...to suck as much money as is possible out of your bank account.
