Yep. OLED is like the ultimate flat panel.

Not to Flat panel Oled is pretty much the best TV period.

As will all technologies, OLED will eventually have a successor.

Agreed. The best TV is the one that I'm watching right now. ;-)

Yes and by then I will have a holographic 360 degree TV runniing Playstation 8 but until then, LG OLED TV will work.  4 more months and I should be posting pics.

Re: OLED

Based on the article from  slashgear, Samsung Electronics is trying to give up their LCD for OLED TV but what I intend to find out is how certain are they to mass produce their OLED TV sets before this year’s Q4? More tips here: http://www.slashgear.com/samsung-prioritizes-oled-as-lcd-spun-off-20214320/

They have to LCD hardly makes any money and if you have seen an Oled in person you can see how much better they are side by side it is striking.

Laser 3D projection is probably 30 years off even then I can imagine Oled still providing a better picture. Something will come along to replace it but won't be until I am in my 80'ds.

I am pretty stoked about Oled TVs and no chance samsung is coming to market in 2012 so LG in say july-sep is going to be your big hope!

I guess that must be a trick or maybe they are trying to play games with other OLED TV Manufacturers since LG OLED is proven to be the best OLED. Anyway, I just can’t wait to see how slim the OLED TV gonna be during the Q3 2012.

You can see it now. LGs Oled TV is 4mm just google ................ 55EM9600. It is pretty thin 4mm which is like .16 inches or somthing its thin and I can't be bothered with the metric system.

Hopefuly they will sell enough to make them cheap quick because I want an Oled monitor and a bunch of other stuff.

Moore's law dictates that OLED will have a successor well before you hit retirement age, grape.
