Re: OLED

Ever since I got the news about the LG 55 inch OLED TV, I have been saving up. Right now I have over $5500 already saved and I am just waiting for the day when it will be released. But one thing that bothers me is the space in my living room. I really don’t like my living room to be crowded, so I don’t know what to do; any idea?

When you get it, do come back and give us a review.

Good job. Make sure you get a warranty when you do purchase it. I've actually spoken with someone who will be in contact with an OLED TV this Saturday. He will make a short video design/picture which will be, atleast the only one I know of , of a video of the LG OLED TV. I even read some articles today about Samsung bumping up their release date for their OLED TV to spring 2012.

Re: OLED

Yeah I can't imagine Samsung getting one out by 2012 the CES model they had did not look ready for production. That model should be the best thing they have every major news outlet picks it up. 2013 Q2 is probably the sammy launch date.

If you have a small room then using a corner TV stand can help to save space. There are TV stands that have rotating tops so you can angle the TV anywhere in the room. If you plan on moving your TV a lot then a TV stand on wheels will be the best choice. Since the LG OLED TV will be super thin, just mount it on the wall. I'm sure you have space for that.

Thats what she said! (sorry)

Yeah a super slim bezel looks great wall mounted. I can't really imagine any good reason not to do it.

Re: OLED

Many sites are confirming that Low power consumption is the reason why OLED is a better choice for portable devices. It also makes OLEDs, and a candidate to be the white-light “bulb” of the future Greater brightness. Light sources based on organic electroluminescent materials offer the potential to make a high light intensity possible at low energy consumption on mechanically flexible substrates.

Re: OLED

The color is pretty good. I wonder what type of bulb is used.  It seems like once you go OLED, you won't be able to go back, that’s what I'm afraid of.
