Re: No picture black screen on samsung tv

I would assume its the board or HDMI input. Would probably be almost as expensive to fix then buying a new one.

Before I go that far, have you tried different cables and different inputs (component, composite, HDMI)?

Yeah, 32" TVs and smaller aren't really worth repairing.  Cost compared to the repair and analysis costs just sucks.  Don't suppose you have a 4yr. protection plan on the TV, do you?

Re: No picture black screen on samsung tv

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to take this opportunity to upgrade your TV. I don't know if you're like a lot of people on this site that still thinks Samsung's got great everything but I would say that Samsung isn't the greatest TV manufacturer anymore.. They've been having a lot of problems with them in recent years. Sony TVs aren't that bad these days and LG's technology have improved so much they can't be ignored.. So take some time and do a little research. Besides, your TV is 3 years old.. New gadgets come out every year so you're pretty behind lol..If this was 2011, i wouldve said get a panasonic vt30 and end it, but in 2012, the LED tvs by LG look way too nice.
