Very disappointed in the decision to go over 4 week as with gap in the stores for new TV models. We have over 8 installations that need the new Samsung smart TV's and none in stock. Both our offices in Florida and Massachusetts have gone to local stores and it look like Best Buy is going out of business. Even on line they are not available.
I understand from other blogs that the manufactures and suppliers are trying to get the inventory down on the older models - this was usually done with sales when the new models came in. ALso I have been told that the manufactures are trying to control the price mark downs that the larger stores give. This used to be called PRICE FIXING.
We have to go to suppliers like Tiger Direct and others in order to supply us with our TV's.
To bad.

Its technically not price fixing (as long as the mfg can prove they aren't colluding with eachother). And anybody can sell any TV for whatever they want, they just wont get the very valuable kick-backs at the end of each month (which is at least 25% of a TV-sellers profit).
Yeah, it sucks that custom integrators are losing business because the new models aren't coming out fast enough, but you are in the same place as everybody else.
