Internet on a "non-Smart" TV

I have a Panasonic Plasma TV that does not have an ethernet port. I am wondering if I can set up a Smart DVD player to receive the signal from my PC and then play the Internet through the DVD to my TV. I have a netgear Wireless adapter to connect to the DVD.

If the computer and bluray device are DLNA compliant, then it's possible. Otherwise you're best off just hooking a laptop to your display.

It really depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Most of the new bluray players will have internet streaming apps available like Pandora, Netflix, Hulu, etc....it's fairly easy to setup and really easy to use once you do. Some of them will also play content you have on your PC via DLNA or CIFS file sharing, this is a bit more complex, and doen't always work quite the way you want or expect it to. A few of the bluray players have hard drives in them so you can copy your content right onto the player and play it directly from there as well.

If you're looking to surf the internet on your TV, then you'll need to connect a PC or laptop to the TV to use it as a monitor.
