Welcome to the Best Buy Support Online Forum Community! I’m sorry to hear that your remote isn’t working for your new Insignia TV. I understand than can be an issue as you’d need to use the remote to finish setting up your new TV. I’d be happy to offer a few troubleshooting steps.
Can you please double check that remote’s batteries are put in correctly? The remotes batteries should both be facing the same direction. Usually remote batteries are to be facing different directions, but that’s not the case with the remotes for some of our Insignia TV remotes. Upon double checking the batteries if you’re still having an issue with the remote seeking help from your local Best Buy in terms of an exchange or troubleshooting would be the best option.
