Insignia 55 inch LED tv clarity issue

I have a 55 inch insignia LED 1080p 60hz tv that I bought just over 2 months ago and I am noticing that while watching shows on both cable tv and through netflix on my PS4 and the picture is not completely clear and almost looks like when a person moves or the camera on the show moves quick, that there is almost like a lag or a shadow on the person on the screen for a few seconds, and it is really making for a poor viewing experience. Can this be fixed?  Both the cable box and ps4 are connected through HDMI cables, could the cable be a poor quality cable therefore making this issue happen? or is there some setting or something I can change? or is this just the television?  Any help would be incredibly helpful!!

Thank you in advance!!

Re: Insignia 55 inch LED tv clarity issue

Hi Drumma4life253,

Welcome to the Forums! We’re always happy to have a new friend. It’s discouraging to hear that your TV is ghosting, and may not be as clear as you’d like.

Can you please ensure that your TV isn’t on display mode? Typically the mode the TV comes in may not be the best for your home.

Do you have a newer HDMI cable to try to see if that makes a difference?

To be honest the issue may be with the TV itself. Normally 120 HZ is a good standard to look for in TVs to avoid issues like what you’ve described.

Please let me know how your troubleshooting goes!

Re: Insignia 55 inch LED tv clarity issue

Hi drumma4life253,

You can determine by selecting the menu button, and on the screen will pop-up the main menu. It should already be defaulted to Picture Menu. Try different Picture modes to see if that helps improve the picture. You can check with your owner's manual for more direction on this matter!
