Thanks everyone for responding.  I appreciate your input.  I don't have cable I have DirectTV so won't be doing the broadband connection with cable.  I guess I'll just purchase my movies as suggested.  I'd rather have a copy anyway and I'm also signed up with Netflix so I can just play those DVDs on my new Blu-Ray player.

Again, thank you, it was definately a learning experience.

You can have both. I use Directv for my cable and Time Warner for my internet.

Nothing beats cable internet.
