Oct. Issue of Popular Science featured the Insignia 32" smart tv in it's new stuff section. Pretty cool. Mine is doing fine but slow to load. Got some jam up sound going for it by running the audio output to my Bose PA system. Forget all that surround sound...I have that too and only find it irritating. A Bose 180 L1 portable spreads the sound out just right from one source and minus that evil subwoofer on my 5.1 system that I am giving away today...Denon processor..the works. I'm done with that mess. Bad idea for a small room.

The point of this thread is that he's excited about his television, and excited that it was featured in a magazine. For that, I give a huge kudos. Go Insignia!

Just a friendly announcement of a product's status in the world. Kinda like seeing a relative in the newspaper. I've gone insignia smart tv after 55 years of CRT and having fun with it.

Here's something to ponder that my brother the electronics man brought up: since web tv's have been out for a while, what made this smart tv so special that it was featured in Popular Science magazine? Was this tv the debut of the TiVo system on a tv?
