Hey everyone,
Looking for a way to hide the cables attached to your wall-mounted TV? Can’t figure out how to eliminate the rat’s nest of wires behind your entertainment center? Want to put your TV on a wall that’s nowhere near your cable box, video game console or Blu-ray player? Well, if you answered “yes” to any of those questions then we may have the solution you’re looking for!
Rocketfish™ recently unveiled its brand-new WirelessHD Adapter , a device that allows home theater enthusiasts to connect their TV and source components wirelessly while maintaining the same kind of high-quality picture you’d expect if the devices were physically connected using HDMI cables. Not only does this product provide consumers a larger number of options when deciding how to set up their home theater system, but it also allows source components to be easily hidden from sight without the need for custom-built furniture or cabinetry. And the best part is that the transmitter and receiver are pre-paired at the factory, meaning that there’s no complicated setup process – just plug them in and turn them on.

Does this product or any product work well for making speakers wireless? The biggest problem I have with my home theater is that the room is arranged in a way that makes connecting speakers almost impossable with running cables accross the floor. The floor is hardwood so I cannot fish wires under the carpet and I do not want to get the cheap looking cable covers. I have seen some wireless systems but most of them come with relatively low end receivers and speakers.

d3, the best way to get wireless audio is to use the Rocketfish Wireless Audio reciever/sender units to remote pairs of speakers. The WirelessHD unit should mainly be used for video transmission from your A/V reciever to the TV. Hope that answered your question.

Wireless audio is easy with Rocketboost!
Check out Aaron's other post which references the wireless audio transmitter/receviers. WiHD does work well for delivering audio to your TV - if that is your primary goal (i.e., you do not intend to use a home theater system or speakers external to those on the TV).

My goal is not to transmit sound from my to from other sources, but to transmit sound to my receiver from speakers that cannot be attached via cables to the receiver. For example I currently have 2 rear channel speakers that to be able to send information to the receiver without any wires if possable. Does the rocketboast do that? Also if so does it lower the THD rating? Also if I upgrade my system to 7.2 or 9.2 will I be able to hook up all of my rear channel speakers to the device?

Oh, D3. I think it's great that even though there is evidence everywhere to the contrary, you still thought you might get an answer to your question from a BB person here--on one of their own adver-threads! I absolutely love your optimism.
The BB employees are far too busy running these forums to actually participate in them.
