I have had my Dynex television for about 11 months and have had no issues. One night the television was having no problems, and then the next morning it started acting up. The issue is that, as soon as I turn the tv on it will show the screen perfectly for about 1 second and then go black. When the screen is black, I can still hear the channels, and am even able to change them. It sounds like it would be something with the screen, but then why does it show up perfectly for a second and then disappear. The television has not had any damage, and sits comfortably on a tv stand. I have tried unplugging it for overnight, but this did not resolve the issue.
The other problem is that I cannot find the receipt from when I bought it, and I know it is still under manufacture warranty. Does anyone know if I am able to obtain a copy of my receipt from BB and use that?
Thanks for the help.

To verify, yes, if its less then a year old then you can bring it into the store and that store will ship the TV out to the service center to be fixed.
Your reciept will be looked up when you go in.

OK so I have about the same issue except mine started a week after my year warranty ran out. Any ideas?? When I turn on the television and the cable box, the sound comes through but no picture. Turn it off the yellow light flashes about 20 times before you can turn it back on. Usually it only takes twice for it to come on, but sometimes more. You're out of warranty, so your options are limited to contacting the manufacturer and seeing how much they'd charge to fix it.

gee thanks to the BB employee that said my options are limited since it is out of warranty.... That isn't something I already knew. Seems like if this many people are having the same difficulty they would be required to do a recall. However, from what I have seen it isn't just this brand from Best Buy. It is MANY of them with MANY problems and Best Buy apparently could care less if they have your money already!! When I buy electronics again it WILL DEFINITELY NOT be from Best Buy!
To why did I buy: Good luck. I think I would sit in the store till I got my money back since they are so shoddy on their customer service as well!!

Mickey, I don't know what you wanted from me? Did you think I could tell you how to repair the TV? I don't know the first thing about that. I was telling you what BB could do for you, which really isn't anything. We offer the GSBTP for exactly your situation. You did decline to purchase it at the time it was offered to you, but now you expect BB to refund your money. I don't know what to tell you except that this is ridiculous.
Look at it from our point of view. I sell you a TV, and you don't purchase the GSBTP. After the warranty is up, you bring the TV in and say it is not working. If we exchange it, we have basically given you a TV for free and lost several hundred dollars. What incentive does this give us? We are not a charity. I have come into contact with some customers like who, who refuse the GSBTP, and then blame BB when the unit fails after the warranty is up, and expect a handout because they were nice enough to give us money. There isn't a timer installed in electronics to cause them to break days after the warranty ends. It is just a coincidence, and coincidences are notable, which is why they stand out.
BB is a business, and the aim of a business is to make money. Yes, customer service is important, but if we focus entirely on customer service and ignore making money, we will go out of business, and then we can't offer any customer service!
If this is not you, then I sincerely apologize, and I do hope you will explain your situation further because I would love to help you come to a satisfactory resolution. However, if I am mostly right, then your options are either to find a TV repair shop, or buy a new TV. Things break, this is life.
