I have the Dynex DX-L40-10A TV and can't find the mfg code to plug into my BrightHouse remote.
It's the Atlas OCAP-5
Don't need it to perform tricks, just the power and volume buttons.
I suppose the basic question is WHO made this Dynex?

Dynex is one of Best Buy's brands...Insignia is also
for my TiVo I use the Emerson code 0091
so I suggest trying the Emerson codes that come in the universal remote code listings...cuz I have no problems with my Dynex 32inch HDTV
good luck...let me know if you need any more help cuz I work at Best Buy also

Thanks for the reply, but that code didn't work. The first time I went to the dynex site, they didn't list any 40" TVs. Today, I found my TV. The internet has been acting goofy lately....They suggested trying the codes for Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania and Zenith. I got lucky, and the 2nd code I tried, worked.
Orion 0463

well good for you...the problem is that Dynex is Best Buys brand so they have to use the frequencies for the companies that are already in the mix...and I'm sure the tv's are made by other companies and we just put our name on them.....
good luck with your new HDTV cuz the 40 inch is nice

Contact Dynex: 1-800-305-2204. They will give you the code.

did you not pay attention...he already got the code
that really annoys me when people selectively read things...cuz there was no need for that tidbit of info

You are probably annoyed a lot. Other people looking for codes may find the number helpful.

ok you are right about the number...sorry to have snapped...been a hard week...
and yes i work in customer service so i am annoyed a lot

I thought dynex was its own brand and best buy just carried it because they are inexpensive? Where is insignia is exclusively made for Best Buy.

Dynex may be it's own brand as you say but it is exclusively sold thru best buy just like insignia
they are both great brands for their prices...Insignia is just a little more expensive than Dynex and Insignia has a more diverse selection going more towards the actual electronic items (digital frames, camcorders, TV's and more) and Dynex is predominately an accessories brand and they make HDTV's as well
