hmm I could swear I have seen dynex sold online and at some electronics swap meets. Especially the small monitors. Maybe I was mistaken. I have heard of dynex before but never heard of insignia until I saw them in best buy.

well best buy has online and auction closeout sites/companies to move products that are returns or damaged...so that could have been why you saw what you saw...but I work at best buy and Dynex and Insignia are store brands...I know because I am in Customer Service and certain products go to certain places when they are returned for specific reasons...
as it shows on the corporate websites for all 3 companies...
Best Buy Co., Inc.
7601 Penn Avenue South
Richfield, MN USA 55423-3645
The mailing address for Dynex is 7601 Penn Avenue South, Richfield, MN 55423-3645.
from the Insignia web site
7601 Penn Avenue South
Richfield, MN 55423-3645.
they have the same mailing address and therefore they are owned by the same company
I'm not trying to be picky here...but since you did raise the question I just wanted to make sure you are informed...they are all great companies...it's been a long time since I worked somewhere that I loved...and I love working at best buy...even when I have customers I can't please
hope you have a great day...and in my opinion the Dynex and Insignia brands are amazing and have great support from Best Buy because they represent us in your homes

Nah, your correct. I researched it a bit and found the same thing you are posting. Dynex is an exclusive name to best buy. Same as insignia though, they don't actually make the products. They contract them from different major manufacturers and put their name on them it seems. The ones I saw must have been used or refurbished or something. Or I was mistaken on the name. Might be some fly by night company using a name that is similar or something. You see that a lot in some of these electronics shows.
Thanks for correcting me and putting the correct info out there.

you are very welcome...and yes I'm sure Best Buy doesn’t make them...but contracts them from other manufacturers
it's just like a lot of the supermarket, department store and drug store chains that have generic or store name brands for sale
so you get pretty much the same products for a lesser cost to the buyer
have a great new year

O.k., this code is confirmed
I used it on my 40" Dynex just now, and it worked like gangbusters. Good Job, Jim!! ![]()
