Dynex 24" issue-jumpiness in picture

Got the Black Friday TV for $79.99. Hooked it up....and the HD picture quality is decent, until there is movement(sports, etc.). The picture then gets very jumpy. Is it the TV? Could it be the cable box?(its HD, but older). Could it be the cheap HDMI cables?(Dynex) Couldn't beat the price, and don't want to return it, but I'm rather disappointed. Any advice?

Not the cheap HDMI cables.

Do you have 120Hz enabled?  If so, disable it. It is a myth, and does nothing for picture smoothing.

Man do I hate the 120hz and 240hz

Is the tv a Dynex brand? Or something else? And does it have the 120hz capability?
It could just be an inexpensive tv that doesn't give you very good quality of picture.

I don't think any current 24" TVs have 120Hz or any kind of interpolation software.  But I don't have a solution for you as to why it's jumpy.

Re: Dynex 24" issue-jumpiness in picture

Thanks all for the response. However, the problem is resolved. Over the weekend, the old HD box it was hooked up to quit completely. This morning, I went to get a new HD cable box, hooked everything up, and voila! A perfect HD 1080 picture, with NO jumpiness!.So for now , it seems like a good little TV:smileytongue:
