I switched connections from the digital cable to the DVD player to listen to a music CD and when I switched back, the TV is getting no signal from the AVR. I have a Denon AVR-1312 that is a year old. I know the receiver is at fault because I have connected the blueray disk player directly to the TV to watch a movie through the same HDMI cable that comes from the AVR. I have also connected directly through the same cable from the digital cable box to the TV. I have also tried resetting the microprocessor, unplugging the receiver and every setting/connection permutation I can think of and I am baffled by this sudden failure to connect with the TV. I suspect something is wrong with my receiver but wanted to check to see if there is some secret solution. I know the TV is up to date on software because it is wired into my wifi modem but I do not know if the AVR is up to date or if that is even an issue with it.

Sounds like you've covered all the bases. Perhaps the unit needs a more detailed diagnostic. You have a 2 year factory warranty.
