I purchased a Sony HT-CT150 and Dynex 55" LCD.  I am using a RocketFish HDMI cable between them and have not be able to get Sony to work with the Dynex.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

You should be running an optical cable out of the TV into your Sony soundbar.

SlimJim77,  I have both a 32" and 55" Dynex and neither have an optic connection.  Am I missing something?

According to the specifications on the this very site, an optical output is on the back on the Dynex 55. It will look like a small black square. You may be able to see a red light emitting from it. If you press on it, a tab will fold back exposing the red light.

Would you please point out the optical output from either alternate views 2 or 3 of the Dynex DX-55L150A11.  Here's the link.

Hard to make out, but I do see an orange coax digital output. I can't see the side from the BB.com photos. The coax digital output is not useful since your Sony soundbar does not support it.

You're Dynex should have analog outputs as well(red/white). Give that a try.

Are you using a cable box?

The analog audio would be the easiest way to connect it. Page 10 of the manual shows how to connect the cable.

You are pretty much limited to the red/white analog cable for sound since the Sony does not have a coaxial digital connection.
