I am trying to connect the AR from the TV to my receiver.  I have been told I need to configure the TV to reroute the sound from the TV speakers.  How do I do that?  I have looked at the emanuals pages 300-310 and I do not even know how to get to the settings mentioned.  Also do I just use an HDMI from the AR port to an HDMI input port on the receiver or to the ARS port on the receiver?

Need help have been working on this every weekend for a month and Thanksgiving along with guests is coming.

If you are talking about the ARC, ( Audio Return Channel)  function, your receiver needs to support ARC   On the Samsung there is in the audio section a place to turn off TV speakers and select alternate source i think

My receiver has an ARC hdmi port. I can't find where to enable the arc port on the tv.

I don't have the same set but mine is set to SPDIF  PCM and selected external speakers. I have the HDMI from the TV connected to the receiver TV input and audio in HDMI. Don't know if that helps at all   Good luck

Are you using hdmi 2? I believe that's the hdmi with arc
