I have a old 1997 Sanyo Analog CRT TV and I want to connect my laptop to it. I checked for the ports that are available on the TV. The TV has just one input where the Comcast cable connects to it. 

Can you suggest me what kind of cable is required to hook-up my laptop with the TV.

That would depend entirely on what output connectors you have on your laptop.  Without that information, no one will even be able to guess with any certainty.

Sorry I forgot to mention that. My laptop has a VGA output.

You will need a VGA to RCA video converter, and cables to connect the audio output from your laptop to the audio in jacks on the TV.

If I had to guess, you've got only Coaxial and possibly an RCA (Red, white, and yellow) connection.  With an old TV like that, I'm probably gonna tell you that you're just SOL.  If your laptop only has HDMI...don't even bother.   Way too many connections needed.

If your laptop has VGA:  We carry a VGA to RCA (female.  You would need an RCA male-to-male cable as well) cable.  Could run that into one of the converter boxes that goes from RCA to Coaxial and then into the TV.

Realistically...it's not with the hassle.  TVs that old aren't designed to be able to connect to computers.

Bah, NoNo got to it before me. Go with the connection cable he listed if your TV has RCA capability.
Can't find the box that we carry in store to run from RCA to Coax. Just remember that it's like $31.99 or so.

In addition, after all is said and done, the picture on the TV is gonna be pretty disappointing.   OP, I think you will be very disappointed with the results.

Unfortunately the TV doesnt have RCA ports. It just has COAX input. Can you tell me ID or name of the box  that converts RCA to COAX?

Each of the adapters will incur loss of signal strength, loss of both luminosity and RGB, and the overscan will be significant; you'll lose wuite a bit of the signal to overscan.

Sorry there.  Can't find it at all online.  It's generally kept in stores in the same 4' section as the coaxial cables.  It's either $31.99 or $33.99.
