I bought a 2010 LN460C670M1FXZA when it first came out. This weekend I bought a Samsung sound bar (awesome) and a Samsung blue ray player which I returned and replaced with a Sony. I thought the first player was bad but am finding out it was probably ok. Issue is both players kept flickering and going black. Updated the firmware on everything and it still happens. Does this seven year old TV support blu ray? I've worn myself out troubleshooting and just can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Are you plugging the HDMI out from the Blu Ray directly to the TV or through something else to get to the TV
Did you try it with multiple HDMI cables to rule that out?

does your TV have other HDMI inputs? Try one of those.
It is odd to me that two in a row would be bad.

Good Afternoon timindbq,
Welcome to the Best Buy Support Online Forum Community! Thank you for joining our community for some troubleshooting advice. I’d be happy to see how I can assist you further.
Bobberuchi asked some great questions, and thank you for taking his advice. Since you’ve done all the troubleshooting available the only option would be to try a different soundbar. The HMDI port in the back may be causing some connectivity issues. Your TV isn’t responsible for reading the information so it shouldn’t have an issue displaying the content from a Blu-ray DVD.
At this point in time I highly recommend reaching out to Samsung directly to see if this is a known issue. Also, if you purchased your soundbar at Best Buy please make sure if you’re going to request an exchange you do so under policy. You can learn more about our Return & Exchange Promise here.
