Hi there,
My needs are a little unique - I need the best LCD TV that will have a USB port which has the capability to play a .mov or .mp4 (possibly .avi or I can export another file type if needed) 30 second movie file - and I need for the movie file to automatically loop all day. Do such flat panel TVs exist? And if they do, can you have multiple movie files on one USB stick and choose which file to loop from the TV menu? I appreciate ANY feedback.
Thanks!

You should be integrating a PC into this operation.

Really? Why is that? Is there no TV on which I can loop a video from a memory stick? I just discovered last night that someone I know has a Samsung with a USB port and i was able to play a video from my memory stick and have it loop - as long as it was the sole video in a subfolder. Why is it that you recommend integrating a PC instead of this option?

Because it would open your options for the TV.
All Samsung models play most mainstream video formats.

Ah Ok. Thanks for your input!

I would just pick up a samsung TV with USB, they will loop just fine and you can always add a computer later on, but no real point with what you are looking to do now.

Thanks, yes I think the USB will be fine for what I need to do - except here is something ELSE that came to my attention. I noticed that when the 30 sec movie loops, the information bar pops up again right at the beginning for a few seconds, then dissapears on its own. With this looping all day, its going to get EXTRMELY annoying and disctracting to have this information bar pop up every 30 seconds. I looked in the manual, under tools, settings, everywhere I could to see if there is a way to take this feature off.
Does anyone know if there is a way to prevent the information bar from popping up EVERYTIME the video re-loops?

Stuff like this is why I made my initial PC recommendation. You're making life hard by trying to make it easy.

I'll toy around with the Samsung TVs when I go into work today and let you know.
