i am in the market to buy either a Roku 2 or Apple TV but what I don't know is if the Apple TV has a USB port? Because I have a 500m external hard drive and I have a ton of movies on their I still haven't watched, so I need to know if I can run my external through a USB port w/ Apple TV. I do know that the Roku 2 xs has on but not the roku 2 xd. So if anyone has any info to help out I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks, Justin

Roku 2 is terrible at playing external media. Apple TV isn't much better. Take a look at the Western Digital TV Live. It'll handle just about anything you can throw at it, has a nice selection of streaming services built in, and has a great community around it.

I strongly suggest that you contact the Apple a/s service center to find out if they do have a TV set that has a USB port in it, that is, if only you really want to get the Apple TV brand. Nevertheless, I really do love Apple products for their uniqueness and distinction. Also the Apple a/s service center guys are really kind enough to respond to all your queries.
