How does the DLP compare to your previous crt? Im looking to upgrade as Im spending way to much to keep repairing the 65". up to just over 1200.00$ in 4 years now. the tv is 9 years old so I think its getting to be that time.

I do not have one but you have to keep in mind they do use Bulbs. And you can get the colorwheel affect on them.

I personally am not crazy about the LED back lit Samsungs. If your not just interested in 3D also keep LG in mind. I am hoping to pick up one of the 3D Plasma's.

I haven't seen projo TVs for sale at any major retailer for quite some time. Only second hand. I do not recommend DLPs at all. Projos are bad enough, but now you have all the moving parts associated with DLP technology. It's just a recipe for repairs.
Plasma and LCD are the way to go now. If you're a fan of movies, and not so much multimedia, then you should strongly consider plasma.
