Tonight all of a sudden my tv went black and has multi colored vertical lines through it. Any idea what could have happened and how to fix it. Or should I just buy a new tv?

If I had to guess I would say the main board or the panel went bad. You can try to get it reapired but you might be better of just replacing the TV, especially if it several years old. You can get a new 46" Samsung LED for under $1000.

Just went to Bj's Wholesale club and checked out their TV's on display. 3 of the new Samsungs TV's they had there had these exact lines on the TV's. Its like green, blue red lines of pixels. One had them going Horizantal and vertical. I would stay away from Samsung TV's this year. Go with LG, Sony or Panasonic
