Laser Level - Eyewear Required?

I just purchased a  laser level that shoots cross lines. Should eye wear protection be used with these products or is the laser not that strong? And if so can you recommend some glasses?

Re: Laser Level - Eyewear Required?

The laser in a level is going to be a low-power Class II or III, and most likely <1mW, so it's not a big deal. As with any laser, you don't want to stare into it, but glasses shouldn't be required.

If you are paranoid and really want glasses, any goggles with blue lenses will do.
