I signed up for unlocked membership to get the magazine and coupons for games. Tried to trade in a stack of games today at the Bestbuy . I told the trade in person about the 50% promo when buying 39.99 + game and ,y unlocked membership . After the best buy employee put in the trade I brought uncharted 3 collectors edition but, noticed that she did not apply the promos. The only promo I recieved was the 25% for 2 or more games traded in. The gaming supervisor said he could not do anything about the trade in. They also had customer service call coporate which took 45 minutes . When they finally got through coporate said they could not do anything. Is there anyway I could get my missing trade in credit?

My cousin had the same issue trying to trade in games towards the Uncharted 3 collector's edition.
He was told that the only could get the 25% multiple game trade in incentive because the UC3 collectors edition didn't technically count as a "game" even though it is over $39.99.
When he decided to just get the regular Uncharted 3 game instead of the collectors edition, his trade in bonus was doubled towards it vs the collectors edition.
..I would also think that the collectors edition would count as a "game over $39.99" as the 50% trade in incentive states as the only requirement, but I guess not. {shrugs}
But anyhow, this sounds like something you will have better luck taking to your local Best Buy customer service desk and stating your problem. Bring in your reciept showing your trade in's and the UC3 collectors edition purchase. Take them to the customer service desk, tell them you believe you should have been given 50% trade in bonus as per their current promo and only got the 25% promo instead. You will likely get a customer service rep to simply give you a gift card for the difference right then and there. I think this is your best option now to get it resolved and get the difference in credit. I don't know what your original trade in value of your games was before any bonus, but if it was $50 trade in let's say, and they give you a 25% bonus, your bonus would have been $12.50 and technically should have been $25.00. I would think Best Buy customer service would easily see your problem if you take in your receipts and give you the other $12.50 on a gift card (or whatever the extra 25% difference would be in your trade in situation)
Hope this helps!

Your idea of getting the customer service desk to give me the difference on gift card did not work. The gaming manager came to the desk and had them call the corporate number which told me they could not do anything and it was a in-store issue. Then the gaming manager told me they can't give the difference on a gift card because the store didn't have the power to do that; the reason was couldn't give me a gift card from nowhere and not cash supporting it.

Hmm, just as you stated corporate told them, this is a store issue....
There's probably something that the customer service desk or the gaming manager at your store can do for you to make it right.
Perhaps they can't manipulate the register computer to give you a gift card... but they CAN and should be able to do something like override a price on your next purchase. For example if you buy another game at $29.99, perhaps they can sell it to you with a manager override at $29.99 - (whatever that difference was from 25% trade in bonus to 50% trade in bonus). So for example, say they should owe you $9.10 more as that 25% to 50% difference, perhaps they could discount your next purchase.. whatever it is.. by that amount. ($29.99 - $9.10 = $20.89 in my example)
You just have to be willing to talk to the customer service desk and/or game manager there to work out a resolution that you can both agree on. Trust me when I tell you that I'm sure the gaming manager there wants to resolve the issue and make you a happy customer, but you may have to be willing to think and accept a resolution outside the box.
If the gaming manager there for some reason seems unwilling to work something out with you, you could always threaten to post his/her name and store location in a "negative" Best Buy community forum post to change his mind. (Not that you would really actually do that, but just telling him your intentions of publicly posting negative attention about his/her store might be all you need to make him/her more willing to work out a resolution with you that is fair to both parties.
I just think you are much more likely getting a resolution in your store then you are here with the forum moderators with your particular issue. ...I could be wrong though. - Just trying to help. :-)

As Zaxtor said, you could try asking for a manager and seeing if they would apply a discount towards a future purchase in the amount that you would have received from doing the trade. This is what they did for me a while ago when I realized they had not processed the proper promo that I had asked for during the trade-in.
You just have to be firm(but not rude) about getting the credit you were shorted.

Hi himeko123,
It is true that once the trade is made we can't modify it. Typically the best thing to do is to ensure you agree to the amount before signing the paperwork and handing over your games.
