3 calls and still no gamer unlocked on my account

I've made numerous calls over since the unlocked program went live, and have been told to be patient, it's been fixed, yada, yada.

 

So I tried again on Sunday and after being on the phone for 40 mins was promised that the unlocked status would show on my account. So two days have gone by and it still shows the free access. How much time do I have to waste on this issue before someone can resolve it correctly. 

 

I wanted to pick up rage tonight, but will hold off as why pick something up that I will not get credit for.

 

BestBuy please HELP !!!

Hi stoned99,

 

I'm sorry for the difficulties you have experienced with getting your Gamers Club bumped up to the Gamers Club Unlocked status.  I have gone through your receipts since Unlocked went live on 9/12, and what I found is that when the store rang up your @Gamers coupon to give you access to Gamers Club Unlocked, they did not also scan the Gamers Club Unlocked brochure bar codes.  Regrettably, the coupon at this point did not attach to anything.  As the only way to sign up for Unlocked is through the store, I will need to ask that you return there with your receipt from 9/12 so they see where the coupon was used, and ask them to run the transaction again, ensuring that they scan the necessary bar codes on the Gamers Club Unlocked brochure that can be found at the store.

 

If you have additional questions or experience further difficulties after returning to the store please let me know.

I still DO NOT have the unlocked showing on my account, I just don't get it. I went into the store had the Gamer Guy redo the transaction, watched him scan the barcode in the leaflet (He only scanned 1 code as he said scanning the other would result in me being charged 15$), and that was 2 weeks ago and still nothing has changed.

 

Come on BB fix this without me having to loose another of my life !!!!

When you go in the store, they are supposed to scan the @Gamers coupon then the Gamers club brochure and scan the barcode with the page that says Gamers club unlocked for $14.99 then your rewards zone card and then your on account it should say unlocked. So I think you should go back to the store and tell them to scan your reciept and then the scan the barcode of the $14.99 gamers unlocked page in the brochure and only that page and then your RZ card. Because I think they scanned the free one instead of the 14.99 one. If you get what I'm saying lol! I'm assuming that you got the free year unlocked coupon in the Septmeber issue I think right?

Supernatural, if you don't mind I'll wait for a BB rep to respond. The steps you described were done, you need to understand that I was entitled to a free upgrade due to the timing of my magazine purchase, which is why my sitation is a little odd.

It's cool, I don't mind. but like you said when you went back did the guy scan the page for the free or the one that said unlocked for $14.99? Because you said he told you that he wouldn't scan the other one because it will charge you $15. When I went they scanned my @gamer coupon first then in the brochure there are two pages (one is white and that is the free membership, the second page is the black and thats the $14,99 year memebership). The black page is the one and only one they are to scan the barcode for your free year because I just redeem my free year coupon last week and then they scanned my reward zone card. On my account it says unlocked. Just saying though to make sure the guy at the store did it right because i know alot of other people are having problems too.

Hi Stoned99,

SupernaturalZim was on the right track. The store associate did not scan the correct barcode. With your coupon, the barcode that would have otherwise charged you $14.99 would have been free.

At this time I believe the coupons are no longer valid so I will research a resolution for you that will not require another trip to your store. I'm sorry this wasn't completed properly on either attempt. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from our Reward Zone team.
