$100 certificate for 5 games

I signed up for the Rewards Zone Gamers Club in September and pre-ordered 5 games from the approved list. I picked them all up on the day of their release but only four were added to my account. I think Gears of War 3 is the only one that wasn't updated into my account. Please help as I want to use the $100 certificate for a soon to be released game.

The list of games was:

Gears of War 3

FIFA 12

Batman: Arkham City

Uncharted 3

Assassins Creed Revelations

Thanks

Re: $100 certificate for 5 games

I pre purchased 5 games as well and actually got my 100.00  in certz posted to my Reward Zone account.

However I also remembered the very day i got my certificate ...  Best Buy reduced every game that was on

that pre purchase list right before Christmas.

Each game was sold for 29.99  for a week.      that means  5 x 30.00  =  150.00

We all got dupped to pay full price at 60.00 a game     5 x 60.00 = 300.00    with 100.00 store credit =  200.00

We all got screwed and paid 50.00 more by being Reward Zone Members.

While the general public got away cheaper and happier.

???    BEST BUY

Come Next year...   AMAZON gets my money.

Re: $100 certificate for 5 games

Are you joking?!?!

I got all my games PMed to at least $45.

$40 for NCAA 12 via B2G1 - bought 2 other NCAA games with it and sold them for $50 each

$40 for madden PMing to TRU

$45 for GoW3 (think it was a Target PM). $40 if RZ silver

Rage amazingly stayed above $52 for the first 30 days so I got worried after 2 weeks and just traded the game back in to BBY (the game was opened since I sold the DLC for $20) for $48 after all promotions applied.

BF3 hit at least $45 (think 1 was $40) at 2 different stores.

MW3 hit $50 hard drop, $40 if you got an exemption PM to TRU as they had $20 GC w/ purchase. Also the HE was $80 at GS, but stock was so limited it wasn't a valid PM for most due to no stock.

Skyrim had the same $20 w/ GC purchase. Dropped to $50 hard drop.

AC:R was $30 the morning of its release at WM. Did not get fixed for 3 days. So it was technically a pricing error so would not be PMable, but it was the price if rung up and as such my local BBY upheld it. BBY put AC:R on sale for $30 within the 30 days (this wasn't the BF-CM sale which is excluded) at worst it was $40 a couple times at other stores.

I am not sure if Zelda hard dropped, but I know it had a $10 GC w/ purchase at Target on release. A $15 GC w/ purchase at TRU.

I honestly forget Forza.

FIFA was $40 hard drop at TRU within the first 30 days.

JD3 (xbox/wii) was $35 at TRU (and I think BBY also) within the first 30 days. If they wouldn't let you PM because the BBY was "Katie Perry Exclusive" it was $40 I know, and I think $35 for a deal of the day.

Batman AC was kept at $30 (BF price) at WM until Wednesday following CM. if you didn't get that PM it was $45 at TRU within the PM window.

Given all this you get $20 MORE off these prices.

You also get the preorder DLC (although it was a pain for a lot of them). These preorder dlc codes could have been eBayed, like I did, to offset the cost. The lowest I sold a DLC code was for $10, so close to $8.50 after fees. The highest I sold the DLC for was $45 for mech Dom GoW3 code (yes 75% of the game itself), some got up to $60 for mech Dom if they sold it early. I averaged $15-$20 for the codes depending on which 5 of the 8 preorder games I bought.

Not to mention the TiV of most of these games was $30 base and most had a 50% bonus w/ preorder of another game. Making it $45 (or $48 later when they had GCU).

Oh and for a majority of games there was 5-10% off coupons for RZ members.

The very best games chosen out of this deal that I bought I MADE $10 and kept all games. At worst I paid $12 per game, keeping all the games.

Getting the 5000 point cert was a pain and a lot of the DLC codes were a pain, but if you didn't get the best deal on these games it was your own fault.

Re: $100 certificate for 5 games

Well you seem to have done your research and kept a log of everything during those months.

I do however feel your over looking the fact each game on that Pre Sell list was dropped for 1 week to 29.99
Including every game you just listed. So if you feel you got a good deal by price matching then by all means I am not trying to steal your joy.

The general public that didn't pre purchase these got it at a better price.

During that week these went on sale I went ahead and bought more for
Christmas gifts . 2 x Need For Speed and 2 x Battlefield 3
120.00 for 4 games when I pre purchased I bought 2 for same price.

Re: $100 certificate for 5 games

Sorry seems like you're stuck on the grass is greener mentality.

MW3 has only been down to $40. BF3 only hit $30 on BF.

Gears sold out in 5 minutes at $30 on BF. it has now recently dropped to $30 on sales.

Rage just started recently getting marked down to below $30, but before Christmas it was $52 at lowest without the b2G1 deals.

The sports games all went on sale for $40 at TRU about 2 months after release. $30 for a short time on BF online. Recently down to $30.

Zelda, I believe, just started to get a hard drop to $40. Before that the best deal was AT BBY because you not only got the RZ cert, but you also go a $10 GC with purchase.

B:AC was pretty prevalent on BF for $30 so I'll concede that also. If not it hit $40 quite a few times.

I completely skipped over Forza so I am unsure GoW that one went.

Skyrim just now went on sale for less then $50. And that's at WM for $40.

AC:R I will give you as it went on sale multiple times at $30

Also JD3 (Xbox, wii) was $35 at TRU the week after release. So I'll give you that also.

If you feel like waiting 5+ months after a game is released, then of course you will get it for cheaper.

Basically you said that if you spent time watching ads to see when the games went on sale then you could get the games for cheaper then the BBY deal.

But then are saying that since I watched the ads and PMd that it was completely different...

Yes I do watch deals for Videogames, because all my friends give me a little money or will buy me the game when I find these deals and save them money.

That is why I love BBY for gaming. I can get them the game on or close to release and then watch ads. Also it is a lot easier for them to "tip" me when I am giving them money back that they already wrote off or forgot about.

Re: $100 certificate for 5 games

Logic is spread across on many fronts.

I see it different then you.

The 100 RZ bucks is Store Credit to purchase more BB products.

It's not Cash that I can spend on other things such as  Gas for my Truck .

If I could have purchased all 5 games for  150.00  like everyone else did i would have.

Instead I ended up paying 300.00  to get 100.00 RZ cert back making my cost seem like 200.00

Lesson learned.

Re: $100 certificate for 5 games

But you could have gotten them all for $200 OOP, which includes a $100 RZ cert from BBY, if you just PMed other stores...

You seem to be saying that you are willing to watch ads to purchase the games at a later date for lower prices, but you aren't willing to watch ads at a later date to PM those lower prices...

That's where I don't understand why you are saying that the other "deals" we're better. There were only 2 games that didn't hard drop to $45 or less in the first 30 days (Rage and Skyrim). Many went to $40 or less within that period.

It just seems that you are saying a deal is better because it allows you to get the games at a much later date and you won't have to check ads once a week.

I don't see how you can say a "deal" is better when you are talking about getting the games for less when you have to wait 3-5 months later. It's like comparing apples to spoiled apples. If you want them even cheaper wait another 9-12 months and you can probably get them for $10-$20 a game.

Re: $100 certificate for 5 games

Hi bains_aneet,

Sorry for the delay. I reviewed your purchases at it looks like the card never got sent as your first game purchase was not attached to your account. I have corrected this and will work with our Reward Zone team to get the points issued. Thank you for your continued patience.
